The Board of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility Districts No. 123 (FBCMUD 123) knows the residents of Lakemont have been eager to hear about the next steps in the process for the park planning following the successful election last year.
At the November special meeting, TBG Partners updated the Board with updated elevation drawings of the clubhouse (see attached, below). Further, LJA Engineering advised of an updated timeline, as outlined below:
- Schematic Design – Complete
- Design Development – Complete
- Drainage/Construction Regulatory Approvals – 1st Quarter 2023
- Start of Construction – 1st Quarter 2023
- Construction Completion – 2nd Quarter 2024
As discussed prior to the Park Bond Election, based upon the financial projections and the available information at the time, the Board of Directors determined that tax bills were projected to only increase due to increases in the appraised taxable value of property within the District (value which is determined solely by the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District), not due to an increase in the overall District tax rate. In 2022, the Board of Directors levied a tax rate of $1.025 per $100 of valuation, which is a $0.05 decrease in the tax rate of $1.075 that was levied in 2021.
